Why would I need Mindfulness Therapy? Mindfulness is helping people all over the world, as it has for thousands of years, to re-discover the fullness and joy of life again and manage overpowering thoughts. If you spend much of your busy life on auto-pilot, you are missing out on your life as it passes by moment by moment. Perhaps the enjoyment has gone and you would love to have it back. Perhaps your relationship with a partner, child or friend has been damaged by an inability to pay attention to their needs because of your own lack of balance in life. And, most important of all, perhaps you are far too hard on yourself while showing huge amounts of compassion and kindness to others. The life we have is meant to be lived in all its fullness.
Many of us battle with addictions fuelled by stress or crippling sadness. Mindfulness can help us to approach these struggles non-judgmentally, slowing us down to make it possible to become aware of what is real and what is imagined. I would love to help you to approach life with a new joy fuelled by compassion towards yourself and others.
How do I find a good therapist? PLEASE do not go to someone who is not properly trained and always ask about the therapist's own mindfulness practice. Someone who does not practice mindfulness meditation regularly can teach you the theory but there will be very little substance. Can I have therapy if I can't come in person? Yes, you can have therapy sessions using Zoom or Skype. Please contact Mark to arrange this.
