My prayer-poem for Tuesday 27 April 2021
Commemoration of Christina Rossetti, Poet, 1894

Faith flourishing through dark mood,
she mused and wrote in verse and prose
and spoke of those
who soared to heights of heaven.
Fired by fierce fact
and flights of fancy
in equal measure,
she blessed the world
through sunless rivers
and the moon’s evanescent arc.
