The Potter
Taking clay, carefully, deliberately, the potter moves it from hand to hand with creative intent. Then the sudden, almost brutal throwing as if discarding with contempt; And, slowly spinning, strong hands gather and guide with head and shoulders fully poised above. Then unfolds a wonder; as clay spins, closeted in holy hands, the lump is centred and hands are still. In a sudden, beautiful moment, the pot is formed. ©️Mark Andrew Smith
