My Prayer-Poem for the 23rd day of Lent, Thursday 11 March 2021
You Shall Not Covet That final commandment of ten about wanting again and again what is not ours to take may explain the heartache which is suffered by women and men. For the wanting becomes something more than a cursory glance through a door or an innocent thought as a vision is caught of two multiplied into four. And then evil, which lurks ever near, slowly escalates safe to severe translates thoughts into deeds and insatiable needs cause brutality, violence and fear. ©️Mark Andrew Smith #the100dayproject #KingsTaunton #PrayAPoem #DioceseBathWells #WoodardSchools
