![]() My Prayer-Poem for the 39th Day of Lent, Saturday 27 March 2021
The impact of this virus that has filled our world with fear has introduced uncertainty and taken those most dear; but while we mourn and grieve each loss, help us to keep in mind events long past where suffering enveloped humankind. A sixteenth century London plague or Vikings shedding blood, or times when ocean waves destroyed our homes in seething mud. Many of us, we must concede, must suffer dreadful pains but let us live life with great joy because hope fills our veins. And if another plague besets us, we should all agree that we are found engrossed in that which everyone can see in every day and every life as plain as night or day, reading a book, planting a seed, finding a better way. ©️Mark Andrew Smith #the100dayproject #KingsSchoolsTaunton #PrayAPoem #DioceseBathWells #WoodardSchools
