My Prayer-Poem for the 37th Day of Lent, Thursday 25 March 2021
The Annunciation of our Lord to the Blessed Virgin Mary

So little known, recorded
in the gospel page
of Mary, Holy Mother,
who at tender age
heard the Angel message
and agreed to be
bearer of the Saviour
sent, a gift from Thee.
No mention in the Scripture
of stable, ox or ass
of snow or shepherds bringing lambs
or Kings or Midnight Mass.
But she embodies Faith
whene’er Your voice is heard
because she simply answered, “Yes!
according to your Word”.
